The Amulet of Yendor is described by the game as a Levitation Amulet, and as such it allows you to jump and traverse platforms without ladders. It also grants excellent defensive qualities. Its name is a reference to the Amulet of Yendor from many original roguelikes such as Rogue and NetHack. The name Yendor is the word Rodney backwards, and thus Rodney is assumed to be the name of the original rogue. See the [[Armor]] page for more stats about the Amulet.
